The flag of the Regional Municipality of Northern Rockies, British Columbia,
consists of the modified regional logo on a white background. The logo shows
a three-top mountain (in blue), "NORTHERN (blue over orange)/ ROCKIES
(green)/ Fort Nelson (blue)". The flag was adopted in 2009.
Information
and photo of the flag thanks to Jennifer Johnson, Community Development &
Planning Assistant.

About the entity:
"The NRRM,
incorporated on February 6th, 2009, is the first Regional Municipality in
BC and officially combines the former entities of the Town of Fort Nelson
and the Northern Rockies Regional District. The boundaries of the NRRM
mimic that of the previous Regional District, encompassing about 10% of
province's landmass (85,808 km2 or 9500 square miles)."

From the same administration I also received a bicentennial flag of
the former Town of Fort Nelson, now dissolved and part of NRRM. The flag
consists of bicentennial seal-like circular logo on a white background.
The logo has a scenic landscape - mountains, woods, river, oil tower and
highway. Around "FORT NELSON B.C./1805.BICENTENNIAL.2005".

The Northern Rockies Regional Municipality replaced the Northern Rockies Regional District
and is now a single-tier regional municipality on a rank of regional district, the only
one in BC.
