Shield Or, a forge Sable with a bunch of flames Gules on its gridiron.
Meaning:
The Lords of Wöllwardt as vassals of the Counts of Württemberg, owned the Hohenroden Castle as a pledge since 1413 and completely since 1479. In the 16th century they also acquired the village Essingen beneath the castle, which had been a market town since 1480. This is proven by a circumscription of a local seal since 1646. The forge (German: Esse) is canting. Details often changed. The first arms appeared after the end of WW2. The tinctures are alluding to Württemberg.

The current arms were approved in 1948. On 12 March 1979 the arms were confirmed and the banner approved by the county administration, published in GABl 254/1980.
