Denklingen Coat of Arms

Shield Gules a sinister facing falcon Argent on top of a triplemount of the same issuant from base.
Meaning:
The sinister facing falcon is taken from the arms of the Lords of Denklingen, who owned the village as vassals of the Bishopric of Augsburg until the 14th century. The triplemount is alluding to the location within the hilly landscape of the Préalpes. Falcon and mount had been already in the personal arms of Ulrich of Denklingen, who had been abbot of St. Mang Abbey between 1336 and 1347. The abbey had been the manorial lord of many villages in the area.
