Description of coat of arms:
In a golden (= yellow) shield is a black, eradicated oak, accompanied by three red 6-point stars ordered 1:2.
Meaning:
The tree is symbolizing the Odenwald forest. The stars are taken from the arms of the Counts of Erbach, former rulers until 1806.

Odenwald County until 30 June 1971 had the name Erbach County. The symbols were overtaken from former Erbach County. Flag and banner were approved on 3 January 1966. The coat of arms was approved on 20 November 1956.
