Rohr Coat of Arms

Shield quartered of Gules and Sable, charged with two bulrushes Or in saltire, over all a fess Argent.
Meaning:
The current municipality was established in 1978 by a merger of Prünst, Gustenfelden, Regelsbach and Rohr. The quartered shield is taken from the family arms of the Lords of Ror. The existence of the kin is proven since 1285. The Lords of Prünst, which disappeared after 1506 had a similar coat of arms. It is supposed that both kins had been connatural to one another. The bulrushes (German: Rohrkolben) are canting and alluding to the location in the marshes on the banks of the Schwabach.The colours white and black are those of the Margraves of Brandenburg-Ansbach, who ruled the village for centuries.
