Renaissance shield Azure parted abased by a fess wavy Argent, above hammer and mallet Or in saltire.
Meaning:
The fess wavy is punning, representing a barrage (German: Wehr). Water power had been the base of economic development. In the village had been a hammer mill and metallurgical industry, both represented by hammer and mallet.
