The (Egyptian) "وزارة الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات" (English: Ministry of
Communications and Information Technology, MCIT) is the government body
responsible for information and communications technology (ICT) issues in the
country. It was established on October 1, 1999.

The flag features the current logo. I noticed on the official website the mention of a "new logo" (current
logo) (image: https://mcit.gov.eg/Images/newlogoAr.png, source:
https://mcit.gov.eg), which suggests that at some point
there was an
earlier logo, and thus possibly an earlier flag as well.
