These is an approximation of a flag that appears in the film Fist of the North Star, a post-apocalyptic martial-arts movie.

In the plot, two martial arts schools existed in harmony before the School of the Southern Star decided to conquer what remains of the world. This flag was shown several times (although the reconstruction is very approximate). It is seen on the vehicles of the Crossmen.
