The yellow fleur-de-lis most probably represents the royal abbey of Saint-Denis, which owned the village, as listed ("Muscilla") in a charter dated 832.
The wheat spike recalls that the main source of income in the village has been and still is grain cropping.
The stagecoach recalls that Moisselles, located on the royal road built in the 18th century to connect the north of France to Paris (today, National Road No. 1), was once the place of a big post that accommodated up to 110 horses. The post declined after the inauguration of the railway station in 1877.

In the 1930, the municipality of the spa town of Enghien pushed the establishment of an airfield to welcome its posh customers, especially casino gamblers. The Ailerons flying club, founded in 1931, managed a training center for gliding on a convenient site located in Moisselles, 10 km north-east of Enghien. In 1933, the club acquired a 25-ha plot mostly located on the municipal territory of Moisselles to establish a private airfield. Funded by the state (50%) and the municipality of Enghien, the airfield was inaugurated the same year and placed under the management of the Royan flying club. On 15 February 1952, the Municipal Council of Enghien voted funds to increase the airfield's area and offer it to light and sporting aviation, which was eventually done in 1959.
Since the construction of Charles de Gaulle Airport, the airfield has been put into restricted use; this means that it can be used only by aircrafts based there.
