The Ireland national field hockey team represents Ireland at men's international field hockey. It is organised by the Irish Hockey Association. As stated on Wikipedia, “Usually the team represents the entire island of Ireland and plays under a special flag. The exception is Olympic hockey, where the team represents only the Republic of Ireland and plays under the Irish tricolour.”  In July 2011 for example, during a tournament at the INSEP in Paris, for example, the Irish team played under her “special” flag, which I could see there : dark green with a coat-of-arms displaying the arms of the four provinces.
