Local Council Kuseife is a Bedouin town situated in the North
Negev region, 13 km east of Arad. Est.
1982, it became a Local Council in 1996 after the dissolvement of
Regional Council Mashosh. Pop. 6,000, all Bedouins.
The flag has been reported as white with emblem. The municipal
emblem has not been published in the official gazette (Rashumot)
and is thus unofficial. Publication process was initiated in 5
June 2000 but never completed. The Local Council uses this
proposal as municipal emblem.

In my visit, I was able to confirm the report, Note that the
inscriptions in the image are a bit different from its actual
position on the flag.

Kuseife was established in 1982 in order to give residential
solution to Bedouins that were evacuated from the area of Tel
Malkhata (Tel El-Malakh) due of the building of an airport
(Nevatim AFB) in this site. Pop 8,400 (2003) all Moslems
Bedouins, with few thousands more at the outskirt of this Local
Council. in "unrecognized" settlements.
The white flag charged with the emblem can be vaguely seen on the
city hall (same one that I visit) here.
