Flag

Located in Yokohama City Kanagawa Prefecture and established in 1965. The embroidered ceremonial hanging flag has red background with a yellow shield-shaped emblem in grey fringe. Adopted in 1926. The university emblem was adopted in 1915. The emblem is the design of the two letters F and S of the school's founding name, Ferris Seminary, on a shield. The shield represents the power of faith that protects us from external storms, and the three colors of white, yellow, and red represent faith, hope, and love.
