State flag

Jonglei State was re-established on 22 February 2020. The state flag it adopted that year is the state emblem on a white field, with the words JONGLEI STATE going around the bottom.

The state emblem depicts a circle, where a scene with the sky, hills, and grass is seen. At the very front, a cow can be seen nursing its calf; this is representative of cattle ranching which occurs in the region.

The flag until probably 2015 used the same format as found by Jaume Olle in 2011; it was the state emblem over a white field with the name JONGLEI underneath. The state emblem in this time was a blue circle with a cow nursing its calf.
