After being re-established, the state adopted a more current emblem. This state emblem was used until around the time of the independence then re-adopted in 2020. The state emblem is a blue circle depicting a cow over it with a bell, signifying wealth and cattle-raising. Three waves are seen underneath; to the sides of the blue circle is a sorghum plant on each side. This fulfills the name of Warrap meaning River of Sorghum. Underneath the blue circle is a green-outlined white ribbon reading WARRAP STATE in green.

The old flag until 2015 used the same basic format found by Jaume Olle. It was the state emblem over white with WARRAP underneath it. The state emblem depicted an African fish eagle as the national bird over green.
