Manhattan, Kansas is in the market for a new flag. However, the flag that may
be replaced is different than the one pictured on FOTW from 2009:
http://themercury.com/news/city/. It is white with a narrow purple edge, and the white field edged by a green-white trim. In the center is
a brown symbol.

The design, titled "Little Apple on the Prairie" by Kimberly Medvid was the
flag redesign contest's winner. You can find a page on the flag on the city's
website, at

An earlier flag of the City of Manhattan, Kansas, was white with city logo on it. The logo consists of a red apple, and words "CITY OF" in black, "MANHATTAN" in green and "KANSAS" in red. The logo is bordered with two lines - I would say green and brown. You can see the flag on this PDF: www.ci.manhattan.ks.us/DocumentView.aspx?DID=4161. Link located by Aleksandar Nemet.
