The Bay State Yacht Club is listed in Lloyd's Register of American Yachts, 1905, as based in Revere, Massachusetts, and organised and incorporated in 1903. The club's burgee is depicted as a circa 6:11 blue swallowtail, split along the diagonals, with a white falling diagonal stripe.
Most references to the club found on the Internet are about the Elizabeth F. from the BSYC being one of the three racing dories selected to represent the Massachusetts Bay Dory Racing Association against three boats from Nova Scotia for the Lovitt-Wagner International Dory Challenge Cup, in 1907. The cup was indeed won by Massachusetts in Shelburne that year, and successfully defended in Boston the next year. I don't know what happened to it afterwards.
The Bay State Yacht Club burgee is depicted in Lloyd's Register of American Yachts at least until 1929, but by 1963 it's no longer listed or pictured.
