Metropolitan Yacht Club

The Metropolitan Yacht Club (MYC), founded by Isadore 'Izzie' Bromfield in 1946 as a result of the anti-Jewish discrimination exerted by the yacht clubs of the Boston area, was chartered on 17 March 1947.

The burgee of MYC, registered with Lloyd's, "mainly consists of the semaphore code for the letter "M"". It is quartered blue-blue-red-blue by a thin white saltire.
