From the communal website: The arms were granted in 1996. The new emblem of the settlement, first documented in 1321 as Heureb, reflects the key elements that have shaped the economic life of its inhabitants, both past and present. The sugarloaf symbolizes the beet sugar factory founded in 1850, which marked the beginning of the transformation of this predominantly agricultural community into one of the most important industrial centers in the Mattersburg district during the interwar period. The four-spoked golden wheel can be interpreted as a symbol of the thriving commercial sector in recent times.
