Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "UNIÃO DAS FREGUESIAS DE MADALENA E SAMAIÕES".

Madalena e Samaiões is one of the six communes of Chaves Municipality created by a merger during the 2013 changes. It had 2416 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 13,99 km².
