Meaning:
The olive branches (representing oliveira)and the base wavy (representing Mondego River) are canting.

Shield Or with base wavy of Azure and Argent, a pine tree Proper, flanked by two embowed olive branches Vert fruited maron. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "TRAVANCA DO MONDEGO".
Meaning:
The base wavy (representing Mondego River) is canting. "Travanca" means "obstacle", perhaps a cataract within Mondego River.
