From the seller: "Rare Circa 1891 Vermont Centennial Flag with very rare star arrangement. Thirteen stars in a wreath around a large center star. The Revolutionary War Cowpens Flag design is similar with 12 Stars surrounding a large center star. Vermont became the 14th State on March 4th 1791. Made of heavyweight cotton, brass grommets with double line stitching. Typical flag construction for this time period. The flag size is 4' x 6'. State Centennial Flags are rare as only a few were made for celebrating the event.
