About the district

Bolívar is a town in Buenos Aires Province, and the administrative centre for Bolívar Partido.

Description of the flag

The Partido of Bolivar adopted its flag in 2022:

The winning proposal, among 32 that had been submitted, was that of the architect Mauro Peret and the designer Carlos Ignacio Sousa. Design consists of a central ten-pointed palm tree with a center that represents the sun and nine smaller palm trees. It is divided into three parts: a yellow band diagonally, a blue one at the top and a green one at the bottom. The idea of holding a contest to choose a flag for Bolívar was reflected in a draft ordinance presented by the mayor Marcos Pisano, before the Deliberative Council in May 2020. Although it was approved, the initiative was postponed until July of this year (2023) year due to the pandemic.
