Independent Plate Line. Shown by Nüsse as based Buenos Aires with a flag field quartered diagonally red [chief] and blue with in the hoist a foul anchor and in the fly a corn ear both being gold [see image]. I cannot trace the company and matters are confused by Brown 1978 showing a red flag with the white letters "IPL", the "P" being larger [see image], for a company of this name but domiciling it as Panama which may still be the same company using a flag of convenience registry.
