The coat of arms of Srbac (image), adopted in 1992, includes a cross with firesteels, a wheat wreath, a running boar, oak leaves, wavy stripes and water lilies.
The medieval name of Srbac is Svinjar, literally meaning "swine sables". During the Austro-Hungarian rule the town was named was Bosanski Svinjar, the current name was adopted in 1933. In the beginning of 20th century, large communities of Poles and Ukrainians lived in Srbac.
