About the Flag

At http://www.ipahb.com.br/japeri_brasao.jpg is a large, detailed image (at http://www.ipahb.com.br/hinosdosmunicipios.htm) with which I made
the image above and the coat of arms detail below.

The flag is a ~3:5 slightly “Canadian” vertical tricolor with the city coat of arms on the central panel. The coat of arms consists of a samnitic shield
divided per fess and the II per pale, on the I a representation of a railroad station by a track junction; on the II a representation of two gas containers, and on the III five decorative fish proper in their colors and attitudes. Mural crown with three towers set on a three-color torse in Sable, Or, and Azure, motto on a white scroll reading "1745 Município de Japeri 1991" in black letter capitals; dexter supporter two palms and sinister supporter a branch of orange (?) tree.
