About the Flag of Sapucaia

The municipal web page reports (loosely translated):

The project of Dejair Zanon (the municipal flag of Sapucaia) interpreted by Professor Alberto Lima, herald of the secretariat of the army in 1968.

Description: Field divided in three bands of the same width. First and the third of sky blue and the second, of white with a line of five stars of red, representing municipal districts, i.e., Sapucaia, Anta, Nossa Senhora de Aparecida, Jamapará, e Pião, with the one in the middle, a little bigger representing the headquarters, politically with the name Sapucaia. Blue and the white one represents the colors of the flag of the State of Rio De Janeiro, adding the red indicates, thus, the fight and the intrepidness of the Sapucaia people and the inhabitants of the state of Rio de Janeiro.
