The municipality is composed of the districts of Campos Novos (seat), Espinilho (est. by Municipal Law No. 60 promulgated on 20 October 1900),
Dal Pai (est. by Municipal Law No. 175 promulgated on 21 August 1956),
Guarani (est. by Municipal Law No. 274 promulgated on 30 December 1948),

Description of the flag

The flag and arms of Campos Novos are prescribed by Municipal Law No. 229 promulgated on 1959.

Blue represents the sky and water, while white represents peace.
The coat of arms features the municipality's sources of income: Brazilian pine, wheat, horse, bovine and mechanized agriculture, surmounted by a cross honoring God.
