Flag of the Universidade Regional Integrada (URI)

URI was established on 19 May 1992. The university operates campuses in Erechim (main seat), Frederico Westphalen, Santo Ángelo, Santiago, São Luiz Gonzaga and Cerro Largo; URI was the first multi-campus university in Brazil.
URI is composed of the Departments of Exact and Earth Sciences, Biological Sciences, Engineering and Computer Science, Health Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Applied Social Sciences, Human Sciences, and Linguistics, Letters and Arts.

The current flag of URI is white with the university's emblem centered in the flag's upper part, breaking a dark blue horizontal stripe, and the dark blue letters "URI" placed beneath.

Based on: http://www.reitoria.uri.br/~vivencias/Numero_004/historico_da_URI/historico_da_uri.htm

Horizontally divided: upper half vertically divided (perhaps 3:4:3?) blue-white-blue with a logo on the white area using an outline map of Rio Grande do Sul and outline profile of three heads behind each other facing the hoist; lower half all white, with the letters URI written in blue.
Jan Mertens, 9 June 2008

The university has changed its emblem since then, so this flag is obsolete.
