Description of the flag

According to a flag placed behind this government official in an official audit committee meeting; the flag of the Waterloo Region consists of a white field emblazoned with the Regional seal. The regional seal consists of a blue ring with the words ''REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY OF WATERLOO'' and the date ''1973'' emblazoned on it in a golden Korinna font. The regional coat of arms of a lion and sheep with trilliums is placed in the middle, along with a mural crown and ribbon bearing the motto.

The date "1853" is when (according to Wikipedia) Waterloo County was established.

Logo flag

The flag is white with the logo on it, and it is flown at the airport.

The logo flag seems to be a partially official flag, while the seal flag seems to be the more official one; perhaps, they are both of equal status.
