About the flag

An ≅ 5:8 (1+3+1:8) horizontal triband of white, dark orange, and white, with the club's emblem centered on it, which shows a large white-bordered dark orange Venus sign ("♀"), symbol of copper, with a traditional golden yellow football with black stitch lines and pentagons, and the word "Cobreloa" set in small white italic sans-serif capitals on the crossbar of the emblem; in white capitals, on the upper stripe "Club de Deportes" ("Sports club") and on the bottom stripe "Cobreloa" again.

About the club

It was founded on 7 January 1977. The club was able to establish itself in Chile's top flight very quickly, and has won 8 national league titles (1980, 1982, 1985, 1992, 2003 Apertura, 2003 Clausura, 2004 Clausura).
