The flag and arms of Universidad de Concepción are prescribed by Decree No. 93-118.

With the same proportions as the national flag, the flag is rectangular, horizontally divided into three equal stripes, the upper and the lower, blue, and the central, yellow, charged in the center with the coat of arms.

When considering the central part vertically divided in eight units, the coat of arms shall be of 6 units in width and 5 units in length. The shield is bordered by a golden outline for the sake of differentiation of the background, of 1/20 of its length.

The shield is a Spanish shield, "Or a torch azure in pale inflamed gules. A bordure azure seven stars argent five in chief two in chief dexter and two in chief sinister in base two branches of laurel argent crossed in saltire."
