Stockstadt Coat of Arms

Shield Azure parted abased by a fess wavy Argent, a helmet of a Roman legionnaire Argent crested Gules.
Meaning:
Stockstadt was first mentioned in 1024. It had been quasi the continuation of a Roman castle at the confluence of the rivers Main and Gersprenz. The castle was excavated since 1855. It had been the base of a cohort, symbolised by the helmet. The fess wavy is representing the location on the banks of the Main River. The tinctures blue and white are those of Bayern, to which Stockstadt belonged since 1815.
