Meaning:
The first town seal was made on occasion of the grant of market town rights by Duke Georg the Rich of Niedernbayern-Landshut in 1481. Prints are known since 1526. The pattern already displayed the canting cow. The pattern on the arms remained basically the same, but since 1562 a blue fess wavy as  a canting element for a creek (German: Bach) and Bavarian lozenges appeared temporarily on the arms.
