Petersdorf Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale; at dexter Argent parted enhanced by a fess dancetty Gules with a doubled knight Sable in base; at sinister Azure a crozier Or in chief and three balls of the same ordered 2:1 in base.
Meaning:
The fess dancetty is taken from the arms of the Augustine Indersdorf Monastery, which had been the greatest manorial lord in Alsmoos between 1468 and 1803. The double knight, a doubled chess piece, is taken from the arms of the Lords of Hinterskrichen, who owned the Schönleiten district (Bavarian: Hofmark) from the 14th until the 16th century. The crozier is alluding to the fact, that Willprechtszell belonged to the Benedictine Thierhaupten Monastery since the 14th century. The balls are an attribute of St. Nicolas, the local patron saint of Petersdorf.
