Shield Argent, an embattled throughout city wall Gules masoned Sable with gate lodge Gules having a roof Azure, port and windows Sable, open portcullis Azure, on the wall five embattled towers Gules with windows Sable, each one topped by a cone roof Azure, topped by a crosslet Or; the wall is charged with two inescutcheons: 1) the dexter one parted per pale; at dexter Argent, a demi-eagle Gules armed Or and couped per pale; at sinister barry of 10 of Sable and Or charged with a crancelin Vert; 2) the sinister one Argent, a bendy embattled wall Gules with door Argent, on embattlements a bear passant Sable crowned and collared Or
Meaning:
Wall and towers are stressing the rank of a city. The right inescutcheon displays the arms of Brandenburg (demi-eagle, modification), Saxony (crancelin). The left inescutcheon displays the arms of Anhalt.

Lindau City Borough Banner

It is a green-white vertical bicolour. the coat of arms is shifted towards the top. It could be easily mismatched with the banner of Lindau upon Bodensee. Both have nearly the same banner. The only difference is the number of leaves and the green base on shield

The arms were approved on 9 February 1995, banner and flag were approved on 24 July 1995, all by district governor (Regierungspräsident) of Dessau.
