Pleiskirchen Coat of Arms

Shield Gules a pale Argent, charged with a fleur-de-lis Vert over a linden leaf of the same; base Or a pale Vert, charged with a mitre Or.
The tinctures in base are symbolising acres and meadows and are thus stressing the rural character of the municipality. The mitre is an attribute of St. Nicholas, the local patron saint. The fleur-de-lis is an attribute of St. Mary, patron saint of the Assumption Church in the former Nonnberg municipality. The leaf is representing the former Wald municipality and an old linden tree, being a natural monument. The tinctures red and white are those of the Archbishopric of Salzburg, which established the local parish church in 930, and of the Taufkirchen family, who ruled the Klebing district in the 17th century.
