Teisendorf Coat of Arms

Shield Gules, on mount issuant Vert a saint statant, dressed and nimbed Argent and holding a saltire Sable by his dexter arm.
Meaning:
The town was finally acquired by Bayern in 1816. Local seals are known since 1683, already displaying St. Andrew, recognisable by his attribute, the black saltire. He is local patron saint since 1383. Between 1816 and 1836 there had been no official symbols. Arms were introduced in 1836 displaying saint and saltire. Red and white are the tinctures of the Archbishopric of Salzburg, to which Teisendorf belonged until 1803. The mount was added later in the 19th century. The nimbus was added after 1968. The seal displays the arms in black and white and has an additional circumscription.
