Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided per pale. The dexter side shows a black tower masoned silver (= white) in a silver (= white) field. The sinister side shows a golden (= yellow) abbott's crozier in a blue field.
Meaning:
According to source the tower is taken from the former coat of arms of Pulheim, the crozier from the coat of arms of Brauweiler, which had been incorporated in 1975.

The coat of arms was approved by Regierungspräsident Köln on 26 September 1977.
