Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
Shield Gules with base wavy Azure, issuant from base a sailing boat Or rigged of the same and topped by a pennant Azure.
Meaning:
The arms are referring to fishery and peat transport on the local channels. The flag colours are those of the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg.
