Frontenhausen Coat of Arms

Shield Azure a house Argent with roof Gules topped at both gables by a ball Or.
Meaning:
Already the oldest seal with prints since 1491 and the 2nd seal from 1524 displayed the canting house. Part of the circumscriptions of both seals had been the word "civitas" (= city), although Frontenhausen had been a town only. The pattern remained basically unchanged on any seal and in any roll of arms, only an image from 1568 displayed an additional embattled tower behind the house. The gate had a stairway in the 16th century and the balls were replaced by crosslets or weather vanes.

The banner is probably used without approval. The arms are traditional.
