Reisbach Coat of Arms

Shield Gules a rafting hook Argent in bend superimposing an angle iron of the same in bend sinister, chief bendy of six of Azure and Argent.
Meaning:
Reisbach was acquired in 1438 by the Wittelsbach kin. The chief is a differentiation of the Bavarian lozenges. The meaning of the tools is not mentioned within the grant of the arms. Otto Hupp assumed that they had been tools for rafting of trunks. The hook (Bavarian: Reißhaken) was punning. There are prints from the first seal from 1514. All local seals displayed the current arms. The pattern of the chief changed various times during the 19th century.

The banner probably is used without approval. The arms were granted on 1 December 1445 by Duke Heinrich the Rich of Bayern-Landshut and confirmed by King Max II of Bayern on 19 August 1849.
