Eitensheim Coat of Arms

Shield Gules a lion passant Or, chief Argent parted by a saltire Azure.
Meaning:
The red shield with one lion is a differentiation of the arms of the Chapter of the Bishopric of Eichstätt, which had been an important manorial lord until 1803. The arms of the chapter displayed three lions in pale. The saltire is the attribute of St. Andrew, the local patron saint. The parish church dedicated to the saint was sanctified by the Bishop of Eichstätt probably between 1182 and 1197.
