Egweil Coat of Arms

Shield Azure a harrow Argent under a coronet Or.
Meaning:
The harrow (German: Egge<7i>) had been the canting symbol on seals of the Lords of Egweil, whose existence is proven between 1068 and 1297. Coronet and blue tincture are alluding to the Cistercian Abbey of Kaisheim, which owned estates in the village between 1214 and 1803. In 1219 the Bishop of Eichstätt granted to the abbey the right of patronage over the local parish church and in 1239 the right to collect taxes.
