Coat of Arms

Shield Vert, a bend sinister wavy Argent, in dexter chief a coronet Or gemmed Gules.
Meaning:
The bend wavy is symbolising Fliede creek. The coronet is alluding to the so called "Kingdom of Flieden", which passed the State Archive of Marburg, notwithstanding serious doubts.
The arms were approved on 20 November 1969 by Minister of Interior of Hesse.
