Seewald Coat of Arms

Shield Argent, on a throughout branch Sable a capercailzie Sable armed Gules.
Meaning:
Seewald was established in 1975, when Besenfeld, Erzgrube, Göttelfingen und Hochdorf merged. Capercailzies are still living in the woods around Hochdorf. In the arms he is also symbolising the woods, which are covering more than three quarters of the municipal area.

The arms were approved on 27 April 1949 for Hochdorf municipality by Minister of Interior of Württemberg-Hohenzollern. The arms were approved again together with the banner for Seewald on 4 July 1978, published in GABl 327/1979.
