Röhrnbach Coat of Arms

Shield Argent a heart Gules.
Meaning:
Before 1803 there had been no proper seals, as the town had only restricted rights under the rule of the Bishopric of Passau. The heart appeared first on a town seal from the 2nd half of the 19th century, which was used without official approval. A statement of the local council claimed that the pattern was based on a tale of "the good heart" of the noblemen Burkard Puchberger, Jörg Watzmannsdorfer and Ulrich Schätzl, who supplied the local people with food during the famine of 1459. The shield has a damascene background.
