Coat of Arms

Shield Or, an abased bar wavy Azure, above a lion passant Sable tongued Gules.
Meaning:
The black lion is referring to the Dukes of Swabia from the Staufen kin, especially to Birenbachs relationship with the former Lordship of Büren-Hohenstaufen. The bar wavy is representing a creek (German: Bach<7i>) and thus a canting element.

The arms were adopted (by the municipality?) in 1958. The banner was approved on 18 August 1959 by Minister of Interior of Baden-Württemberg, published in GABl 591/1959.
