The flag is divided per saltire into white (hoist and fly), red (top) and green (bottom). There are versions with (see t image above) or without (see t image above) centred arms.

Ducherow Coat of Arms

In the base of the silver ( =white) shield is a green hill having three peaks. Above is a red demi-griffin issuant, armed and tongued golden (= yellow) holding a red lozenge between his claws.
Meaning:
The griffin is symbolising (Vor-)Pommern, the lozenge is taken from the arms of the Counts of Schwerin, intermittent rulers in the middle ages. The hill is symbolising the village of Heidberg.

The flag and arms was approved on 30 August 1993 by Minister of Interior of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the coat of arms already on 10 July 1992. Both were published in the Municipal Roll of Arms Mecklenburg-Vorpommern as no.60.

Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess wavy, above Azure an embattled castle Or with two embattled towers, the left one being higher, beneath Argent a linden leaf Vert.
Meaning:
The leaf is representing the village of Liepen. In 1328 it was called "lypa", which means "linden". The castle is a representation of Neetzow Mansion. The line of partition is representing the Peene River.
