Ilvesheim Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale; at dexter Or a harp Sable; at sinister Sable a lion rampant Or, crowned, armed and tongued Gules; base Gules a milrind Or in fess.
Meaning:
The arms are based on a local court seal made in 1552. Its existence is proven since 1589. The lion is alluding to the Palatine Counts of Rhine, the former rulers since the 13th century. The Palatine Counts had appointed as local rulers from 1550 until 1645 the Landschad of Steinach family. The harp is taken from their family arms. The milrind had been a local symbol.

The arms were adopted by the municipality in 1908.
