Maroldsweisach Coat of Arms

Shield Argent a ladder Sable in bend sinister, issuant from base a triplemount Vert, chief Gules three hammers Or in fess.
Meaning:
The hammers are taken from the arms of the Lords of Stein on Altenstein, who owned the village since the 15th century.. The ruined castle of Altenstein is the local landmark and one of the biggest ruined castles in Franken. The castle was first mentioned in 1225 and deteriorated since 1703. The ladder is taken from the arms of the Horneck family of Weinheim, who lived in the village since 1765. The triplemount is alluding to the Zeilbergen, a local mountain ridge and is referring to the depletion of basalt. The chief wavy is representing the Weisach River.
